On 6 May of the current year, at the initiative of the department of the Agency for state financial control and combating corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan in the cities and districts of the Rasht region, was held a meeting at the Tajik National University with the participation of lecturers and members of the University’s public commission on the regulation of traditions, celebrations and ceremonies. The meeting was organized to discuss the recommendations of the competent authorities regarding the elimination of causes and conditions leading to violations of the requirements of the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On the Regulation of traditions, celebrations and ceremonies in the Republic of Tajikistan.”

During the event, representatives of the Agency’s department conducted a comprehensive review of the above-mentioned law for the participants and explained its significance and main directions aimed at preventing violations of the legislation. At the same time, the participants were informed about the country’s anti-corruption legislation, measures to enhance citizens’ anti-corruption awareness, and the importance of ensuring the strict and unconditional implementation of these legal provisions.

It was noted that the primary purpose of holding such events is, above all, to strengthen the protection of the genuine values of national culture, reduce the level of poverty among various segments of society, and improve the welfare of citizens. In addition, such initiatives are aimed at drawing public attention to anti-corruption issues, enhancing citizens’ legal awareness, preventing all forms of offences, and ensuring the implementation of anti-corruption laws and state programs.
