On 27 January 2026, the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan, in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme in Tajikistan (UNDP), organized and conducted an online round table on the topic “Strengthening the Whistleblower Protection Mechanism in Tajikistan”.

The event was held within the framework of the Programme “Strengthening Transparency and Accountability for Achieving Results”, implemented by the Agency jointly with the United Nations Development Programme in Tajikistan. The round table was attended by responsible officials and experts from the United Nations Development Programme in Tajikistan (UNDP), the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission of the Republic of Korea, as well as the Seoul Policy Centre of the United Nations Development Programme.

During the event, the parties engaged in a constructive dialogue on the implementation of the electronic platforms “Assessment of the Effectiveness of Anti-Corruption Measures” and “Transparency Portal” in the Republic of Tajikistan, as well as on the existing challenges in this area.

It was noted that the introduction of these systems will create a favourable foundation for ensuring the transparent functioning of state institutions, protecting human and civil rights and freedoms, engaging society in the fight against corruption, and reducing the intensity of this phenomenon in the country. Representatives of the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission of the Republic of Korea expressed their readiness to provide practical assistance to the Agency in implementing the aforementioned initiatives.
