On September 2, 2025, at the initiative of the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan on the topic “Countering Corruption in the Healthcare and Social Protection Sector: Challenges and Measures to Prevent This Undesirable Phenomenon.”

The event was attended by the leadership and responsible officials of the departments and units of the Ministry’s central office, state control services in the field of healthcare, sanitary-epidemiological supervision, the State Agency for Social Protection of the Population, republican centers of the Ministry, healthcare departments of GBAO, Khatlon, and Sughd provinces, the city of Dushanbe, and other responsible officials from subordinate structures of the Ministry.

During the meeting, representatives of the Agency delivered presentations outlining ways to combat corruption in the healthcare sector, measures to prevent corrupt practices among industry workers, the consequences of committing corrupt offenses, and the negative impact of such phenomena on the healthcare sector. Participants were also provided with detailed information on legislative requirements and state anti-corruption programs.

In conclusion, the attendees were urged to carry out their duties in the healthcare and social protection sector with integrity, serving the people and our beloved Motherland with clean hands and hearts, and refraining from any undesirable consequences of corrupt actions.

Overall, the event took place in an anti-corruption atmosphere, and it can be confidently stated that its outcomes will have a positive impact on fostering an uncompromising stance against corruption in the healthcare sector and enhancing the legal awareness of participants.
