In January of the current year, at the initiative of the Department of the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Sughd Region, a productive meeting on the theme “The Address – A Guide to a Prosperous Future” was held in the meeting hall of the Executive Body of State Power of Spitamen District. The meeting was attended by the leadership, heads of departments and divisions, chairpersons of urban and rural jamoats, heads of subordinate institutions, as well as activists and residents of the district.

During the meeting, representatives of the Agency spoke about the importance of the Address of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan. It was emphasized that this year’s Address of the Leader of the Nation differs from previous Addresses by new positive messages, distinctive features, positive results in the development of various sectors of the country, as well as its content and scope.

It was noted that the Address of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan raised issues and provided specific instructions and assignments regarding the effective advancement of domestic and foreign policy, ensuring progress in the fields of economy and industry, energy, roads and transport, security and defense, law enforcement, healthcare, culture, science and education, social protection of the population, youth and women.

Furthermore, during the meeting, the speakers provided detailed explanations regarding corruption factors and ways to combat this phenomenon, measures to prevent corruption among employees in various sectors, the consequences of committing acts of bribery, as well as the negative characteristics of this phenomenon, citing specific examples from the materials of conducted investigations. Participants were provided with detailed information on the requirements of the current legislation and state anti-corruption programs.
