On August 14, 2025, at the initiative of the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan, a productive meeting was held in the conference hall of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan on the topic "Combating Corruption in the Education and Science Sector: Issues, Prospects, and Solutions." The event was attended by the leadership and heads of departments and units of the Ministry’s central apparatus, rectors of higher professional education institutions, and other responsible officials from subordinate structures. Additionally, heads of education departments and units from cities and districts of the republic participated virtually.

During the meeting, Agency representatives delivered presentations addressing existing cases of corruption in the education and science sector, measures to combat this phenomenon, prevention of corruption among industry employees, the consequences of corrupt practices such as bribery, and the negative impact of these actions on the education and science sector. Participants were thoroughly informed about the requirements of legislation and state anti-corruption programs.

Overall, the event took place in an atmosphere of strong anti-corruption sentiment, and it can be confidently stated that its outcomes will have a positive impact on fostering an uncompromising stance against corruption in the education and science sector, as well as enhancing the legal literacy of participants.
