The investigation of the criminal case against Abdullozoda A. revealed that, while serving as the head of the Land Reclamation and Irrigation Department of Sughd Region, he committed crimes related to embezzlement and forgery during his tenure.

Specifically, Abdullozoda A., with the intent to misappropriate budget funds through embezzlement, acted in collusion with the department’s leading specialist Barotov R.Zh., citizen Rakhmatulloev D.D., and five heads of private companies. From the total amount of 13,117,560 somoni allocated in 2023–2024 from the state budget for improving the reclamation condition of irrigated agricultural lands and repairing pumping stations in the Zafarabad, Asht, Spitamen, and Mastchoh districts of Sughd Region, they misappropriated 4,386,258 somoni by falsifying accounting documents. These deliberate actions caused significant material damage to the state.

Based on these facts, a criminal case was initiated against Abdullozoda A. and other involved individuals under Articles 245, Part 4, Clause “b,” and 340, Part 2, Clauses “a, b” of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan. During the preliminary investigation, through the application of procedural measures, the identified damage was fully compensated to the state, and the criminal case, with an approved indictment, was sent to court for consideration.
