To strengthen the Agency’s efforts in combating corruption and expanding international cooperation, an official delegation from the Agency for State Financial Control and Anti-Corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan participated in a training workshop titled “Enhancing the Capacity of Focal Points for Conducting the Self-Assessment of the Second Cycle of the Implementation of the UN Convention Against Corruption” and in the 16th session of the Working Group of the Conference of the UN Convention Against Corruption. These events took place from June 12 to June 20, 2025, in Vienna, Republic of Austria.

The first event saw participation from representatives of anti-corruption agencies from over 40 countries. During the training, experts from the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime delivered presentations on the process of conducting the self-assessment for the second cycle of the Convention’s implementation, existing challenges and solutions, as well as modern measures in anti-corruption policy implementation and the exchange of best practices.

The second event focused on regulating the activities of the Conference of the UN Convention Against Corruption, with representatives from more than 80 countries in attendance. Discussions covered operational matters related to the Working Group’s activities, ensuring the implementation of Conference decisions, combating organized corruption, protecting whistleblowers, ensuring judicial transparency, and other pressing issues.

Overall, the events were conducted at a high level, and the Agency’s delegation’s participation in such international forums creates favorable conditions for enhancing the professional capabilities of its staff in combating corruption and showcasing the country’s achievements in implementing anti-corruption policies.
