On September 23, 2025, a meeting took place at the central office of the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan between the Agency's leadership and the newly appointed Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Tajikistan, Sudipta Mukerjee.

During the meeting, the Director of the Agency, Sulaymon Said Sultonzoda, welcomed Mr. Sudipta Mukherji on his first visit to the Agency and wished him success in fulfilling his official duties.

The parties then engaged in a productive dialogue on issues related to combating corruption, discussing the Agency’s adoption of best practices from advanced countries in implementing anti-corruption programs, particularly focusing on transparency and integration between the public and private sectors with civil society.

Continuing the discussion, Mr. Sudipta Mukherji expressed satisfaction with the achievements of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan over the years of independence, including in the area of anti-corruption efforts. The parties agreed to expand cooperation in the coming years through joint anti-corruption programs aimed at reducing the level of corruption in the country and countering this phenomenon.

Overall, the meeting was held in an atmosphere of mutual understanding and respect, and its outcomes will provide a favorable foundation for strengthening the Agency’s efforts in implementing the country’s anti-corruption policy.
