On October 30, 2025, in the building of the central apparatus of the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan, a meeting took place between the official delegation of the department, led by the First Deputy Director of the Agency—Barot Rasuli, and the monitoring group of the International Monetary Fund, led by Matthew Gartner, in connection with the process of implementing the Program on Policy Coordination Instruments.
During the meeting, the parties held a useful dialogue on issues of combating corruption, expressing their opinions and considerations regarding the process of declaring property by officials in the Republic of Tajikistan, achievements of the first stage of implementing the Action Plan for the State Strategy for Combating Corruption in the Republic of Tajikistan for the period up to 2030, bringing the country's legislation into line with the requirements of international legal documents, and other current issues in the sector.
In addition, with the aim of reducing the level of corruption in the country and combating this phenomenon, the parties reached an agreement on the implementation of joint anti-corruption programs and the expansion of cooperation.
Overall, the meeting took place in the spirit of mutual understanding and mutual respect, and it can be confidently said that its results will create a favorable basis for expanding the department's activities in implementing the country's anti-corruption policy.
