On July 30, 2025, in the building of the central office of the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan, the leadership of the Agency hosted representatives of the official delegation of the Anti-Corruption Agency and the Directorate for Combating Economic Crimes under the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and holding a meeting.

This meeting was organized and conducted to fulfill the requirements of the “Action Plan for the Implementation of the Cooperation Agreement between the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Directorate for Combating Economic Crimes under the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2025–2026” and the “Action Plan for the Implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Agency and the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2024–2025.”

During the meeting, it was particularly noted that the friendship and brotherhood between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan have reached a qualitatively new level in recent years. This progress is primarily attributed to the strong will of the leaders of our states - the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, and the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, His Excellency Shavkat Mirziyoyev who through joint efforts, have elevated bilateral relations to the level of a strategic partnership. These relations built on mutual trust and understanding, enable us to effectively cooperate in various fields, including the fight against corruption.

It is worth mentioning that, as part of the working visit of the delegations of Uzbekistan’s anti-corruption authorities to the Republic of Tajikistan, two-day training seminars are planned to be held at the central office of the Agency. During these seminars, the Uzbek side will be introduced to the country’s anti-corruption policy and the achievements of the Agency in this area.

Overall, the aforementioned meeting was held at a high level, with both sides focusing on the development of mutually beneficial relations in combating transnational economic crimes and corruption. They expressed their readiness to further expand ties within the framework of bilateral cooperation agreements.
