Countering Corruption in Healthcare – The Key to Public Health

On June 2, 2025, at the initiative of the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan, a meeting was held in the main conference hall of the State Institution “Republican Scientific Center of Oncology” under the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Representatives of the Agency delivered presentations focusing on the legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan and state programs aimed at combating corruption. It was emphasized that corruption in the healthcare sector creates barriers to accessing free state medical care, harms public health, disease prevention, and the transparency of medical service provision. Participants were urged to refrain from corrupt practices by enhancing their legal anti-corruption awareness and strictly adhering to sectoral anti-corruption laws in their activities.

Overall, the event took place in an anti-corruption atmosphere, and it can be confidently stated that its outcomes will positively contribute to fostering an uncompromising societal stance against corruption and improving the legal awareness of participants.
