On September 24, 2025, the regular meeting of the Coordination Council of Heads of Tax (Financial) Intelligence Agencies of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) was held in Yerevan, Republic of Armenia. The official delegation of the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan, led by Deputy Director of the Agency Firuz Kamolzoda Anvarali, participated in the meeting.
The meeting was also attended by representatives from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, the Russian Federation, Uzbekistan, and the CIS Executive Committee. The outcomes of the Council’s activities in strengthening peace, stability, and economic security for the year 2025 were summarized.
It was noted that in recent years, the Council’s activities have been expanding, and it plays a key role in ensuring the economic security of the CIS member states.
Additionally, the participants discussed pressing issues related to combating economic and corruption-related crimes, offenses involving digital assets, countering the financing of terrorism, and tax-related crimes committed through the internet and digital payment systems. An exchange of views also took place on methods and approaches to detecting such crimes.
At the conclusion of the meeting, relevant decisions were adopted based on the agenda, and, taking into account the current global situation, a call was made to further strengthen cooperation within the Council to enhance the fight against transnational crime.
