On December 8, 2025, on the initiative of local and regional divisions of the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan, conferences and meetings dedicated to the International Anti-Corruption Day were organized and held in the cities of Khorog, Kulob, Bokhtar, Khujand, and Panjakent. The events were attended by representatives of various sectors, public activists, and residents of the above-mentioned regions.
In their speeches, the speakers discussed the origins of corruption, the stages of adoption of the United Nations Convention against Corruption, emphasized the importance of joint efforts in combating this negative phenomenon, and paid special attention to the formation of anti-corruption awareness among the country’s citizens.
The main purpose of these events is to draw public attention to the problems of combating corruption, raise citizens’ anti-corruption awareness, prevent corruption-related offenses, and ensure the implementation of anti-corruption laws and state programs.
It should be noted that it is thanks to the wise policy of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, that strong organizational and legal foundations for combating corruption have been established in the country. Our task in this matter is to contribute to the implementation of the policy pursued by the country’s leadership in this direction.
The events timed to coincide with the International Anti-Corruption Day, organized by the local and regional divisions of the Agency, were conducted at a high organizational level. It is expected that their outcomes will become an important step toward strengthening legal awareness and society’s intolerance toward corruption.
