In July of this year, with the aim of engaging the public in anti-corruption efforts, employees of the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO) initiated awareness-raising events. These events took place at the Executive Body of State Power in the city of Khorog and the Border Troops Department of the State Committee for National Security of the Republic of Tajikistan in GBAO. Participants included officials and employees of the aforementioned institutions, as well as residents of Khorog.

The purpose of these events was to involve the public, particularly public servants, in addressing anti-corruption issues, ensuring compliance with and implementation of the country’s anti-corruption legislation, preventing illegal activities, and refraining from participation in extremist and terrorist organizations and movements. During the events, participants expressed their opinions and views on the discussed topics.

It was particularly emphasized that corruption is one of the pressing issues of our time and hinders the development of states. In this regard, modern society must collectively combat this negative phenomenon and contribute to reducing its prevalence.
